Holiday Letter Blocks

I haven't posted anything on here forever! I have lots of ideas to make, it is just having the time to do it. I'm working now, so I don't have as much time. But I just wanted to show the blocks and how cute they are in any season. If you want these, email me at speakingvinyl@gmail.com.

What you need:
3 wooden blocks

vinyl pictures for 6 different holidays

What to do:

Holiday Letter Blocks.

I saw this on another blog, so I thought that I would try it out. I thought that it turned out great!

Supplies:
-10 blocks, whatever size you want. I went to Home Depot and got a long piece of wood and had my husband cut it in squares.
-Paint
-Vinyl Letters, cardstock letters, or big alphabet stamps
-wood stain
-sand paper

How to:
1. Sand blocks you want.
2. Paint blocks. I only did one coat because I was planning on sanding them and staining them.
3. Once dry, sand edges, if you want.
4. Stain the blocks.
5. Place letters on the blocks. Here are the letters you need for each block:

Block One: H Y E D
Block Two: A C R S
Block Three: R P E T
Block Four: V N L O
Block Five: E O M D
Block Six: S M K I

Block Seven: T F B W
Block Eight: U A G L
Block Nine: P J I H
Block Ten: F P S C

6. Once you decide which word you want to spell, you can decorate the unused blocks with ribbon, or knicknacks.

These are the words you can make with this one set of blocks:
Harvest
Welcome
Faith
Family
Spooky
Friends
Winter

Freedom
Blessed
Snow
Home
Hope
Monster

Mother
Dream
Easter

You can also try and spell more words!

Magnet Boards

I saw something similar on Etsy and I thought they were super cute, and seemed easy to make, so I set out to make them. They are very simple to make. All you need is some thin sheet metal, material, a glue gun, and any accessories you may wish to put on them. Cut the fabric a little bigger than the sheet metal. Then glue the fabric to the back side of the metal. When you are done, cut strips of fabric, or you can use ribbon, and glue them on the back so the magnet board can hang on the wall. Then add any accessories you may like. If you would like to order a magnet board, go here or email me at speakingvinyl@gmail.com. I also have cute magnets for sale that would look great on the boards!

Wipe Boards

These wipe boards are cute and easy to make. All you need is a picture frame, material, dry erase marker, a glue gun, vinyl, and any decoration you would like to put on it. A great place to get picture frames are at D.I. or Goodwill or the Dollar Store. As long as you like the size, you can always spray paint it the color that you want. I used burlap on a lot of the wipe boards, but you can use any fabric you want. Just glue the fabric to the matte on the picture frame and then put on the vinyl letters. I used a ribbon on some and some hemp string on others to glue the dry erase marker to it so it wouldn't get lost. There are so many things you can do with these. You can make a calendar, dinner menu, to do list, word of the day, or put a cute picture on it for a kids room. If you like any of these and want one, or if you want to make your own and need the vinyl for it, email me at speakingvinyl@gmail.com or visit here.
